Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Cold butter
  • Sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Egg

  • Raisins
  • Salt

Method

  1. Rub cold butter into flour with your fingertips until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

  2. Stir in sugar, raisins, and baking powder.

  3. Add egg and just enough milk to make a stiff dough.

  4. Do not overmix — the rough texture is the point.

  6. Bake at 200 °C for 15-18 minutes until golden-tipped.
