Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Instant yeast
  • Sugar
  • Warm milk
  • Butter
  • Egg
  • Salt
  • Breadcrumbs (for coating)

Method

  1. Knead flour, yeast, sugar, milk, butter, and egg into a soft dough; rise until doubled.

  2. Divide and shape into small oval rolls.

  3. Roll each in fine breadcrumbs to coat fully.

  4. Arrange on trays and proof at controlled warmth until puffy, about 45 minutes.

  5. Bake at 190 °C for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.

  6. Serve warm, ideally split with butter or cheese.
