Method
Rub butter into flour, baking powder, and salt until crumbly.
Add water gradually and mix to a soft dough — no yeast involved.
Knead briefly into a round loaf.
Score a deep cross on top.
Bake at 200 °C for 30-35 minutes, or wrapped in coals, until hollow-sounding.
Tear apart and eat warm with butter or golden syrup.
