- All-purpose flour
- Ghee (or butter)
- Powdered sugar
- Milk
- Yeast (optional)
- Sesame or date filling (optional)
- Ground pistachios (for topping)
Method
Rub ghee into flour until it resembles wet sand.
Add milk and knead into a soft dough; rest 30 minutes.
Shape small balls, optionally pressing a date or nut filling inside.
Flatten slightly and bake at 175 °C for 15-20 minutes until just pale.
Cool completely — warm cookies will melt the coating.
Roll each cookie in powdered sugar and press pistachios on top.
