Ingredients

  • Butter (softened)
  • Cornstarch
  • All-purpose flour
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Buttercream or lemon filling

Method

  1. Beat butter until very pale and light.

  2. Sift in cornstarch, flour, and powdered sugar; mix to a soft dough.

  3. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.

  4. Pipe identical rounds onto lined trays with consistent pressure.

  5. Bake at 160 °C for 15-18 minutes — they should stay pale.

  6. Cool and sandwich pairs with buttercream or lemon filling.
