- All-purpose flour
- Sugar
- Baking powder
- Egg
- Milk
- Butter (melted)
- Salt
- Jam and whipped cream (to serve)
Method
Whisk egg and sugar until pale.
Add milk and melted butter.
Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt to a thick dropping batter.
Heat a lightly buttered griddle over medium heat.
Drop equal spoonfuls of batter, spaced apart; flip when bubbles pop on top.
Cook until golden on both sides and serve warm with jam and cream.
